Medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, in Houston, Texas. Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Knee Surgery at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine in Los Angeles, California. Trained with Dr. Douglas Jackson who was a pioneer in the field of sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. Dr. Jackson was the first president of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and has authored many books and scientific articles. Specializes in joint replacement, as well as sports medicine and general trauma. Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, Texas Medical Association, Denton County Medical Society and Texas Orthopedic Association. Served as Chairman in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor Medical Center of Carrollton. He served on the Hospital Board.
