About

Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon Doctor of Medicine degree from Wisconsin Received numerous awards for scholastic achievement, including the Evan and Marion Helfaer Award and the Louis and Edith Phillips Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement in his second and third years of medical school, and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. Residency in orthopedic surgery at the well-respected University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Fellowships in both sports medicine and foot and ankle reconstruction. Contributed to numerous research articles on a variety of topics ranging from ACL reconstruction to joint fusions. Contributing author to the textbook Surgery of the Foot and Ankle and has done presentations covering such topics as athletic injuries of the shoulder and new techniques in hip surgery. Serves as sideline physician at Friday night football game and provides a Saturday morning clinic for those that may have sustained an injury on the field. Provides support for the athletes and schools' athletic trainers and donates time to providing yearly physicals to the athletes of the local high schools and teaches student athletic trainers and health science students at local high schools by providing lectures and hands-on cadaver labs. In honor of his service to local high school athletics. Received an honorary membership to the Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association.
