Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan. Medical degree from UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School. Internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Board certified and practices general orthopaedics with special interest in fracture management, arthroscopy, cartilage preservation and joint replacement. Extensive experience in sports medicine, having completed a Fellowship in the discipline at Methodist Hospital in Houston. Trained in advanced open and arthroscopic techniques for knee, shoulder, elbow and hip. Served as an assistant team physician to several professional teams in Houston: the Texans, Astros, Rockets and Dynamo, as well as for Rice University and HISD. Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Awarded commendation for research conducted on those injuries sustained during Operation Enduring Freedom, which was published and presented at national meetings. Served as a flight surgeon in Korea prior to returning to Walter Reed Army Medical Center for residency.
