About
Dr. Raul Martinez is double board certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. After attending Central Catholic High School (’85) and St. Mary’s University (’89), Dr. Martinez attended the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he completed his residency in Anesthesiology. He later completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine and has been in private practice since 1999.
During his fellowship in pain medicine, Dr. Martinez was recognized as an Outstanding Fellow in the field. But his greatest honor is having other physicians from the community seek him out with their own pain management needs. Knowing that his peers trust him with their own pain management needs inspires him to continually look for ways to provide the very best care in his field.
Dr. Martinez knows that pain management requires much more than simply writing prescriptions – he looks for ways to help patients overcome challenges to move beyond their pain using the latest in pain management technology. Dr. Martinez believes how one practices and relates to patients is critical to the successful treatment of his patients. He does this by providing medical care with the highest degree of integrity, avoiding unnecessary procedures, and keeping customer service at the forefront.
Dr. Martinez has assembled a team of outstanding clinicians and support staff who are always upbeat and ready to work hard on behalf of their patients. He believes each member of his staff play an important role in the treatment of his patients. From the support staff to the nurse practitioners to the physicians, each person plays a key role in helping patients find relief from chronic pain.
